I’m truly honoured to join the ranks of the lovely teachers at Yogabase in Islington to offer weekly Pregnancy and Postnatal Recovery Yoga classes beginning this month. Just in time for autumn, we’ll be celebrating the changing seasons; the transition into the cooler months, and the transition into motherhood. Prepare to take your deepest breath of the day, move, stretch, and reconnect with your true self.
I welcome women from all levels of experience into my pregnancy and postnatal classes, from those who have yet to give yoga a try to those who have a long-running practice. I teach with the understanding that no two days during pregnancy, or with a little one, are the same. Motherhood is about constantly adapting to the environment, the needs of your body, and the needs of your baby. We practice having both a flexible body and mind, and the class is adapted as needed.
Yogabase offers a lovely open studio space with mirrors that is safe for mobile babies to explore freely, while allowing mums to keep an eye on them. For babies that are not yet mobile, the practice has options to include the baby in the postures and flow. In turn, expecting mums will find the calming space an absolute sanctuary from the world outside.
I truly look forward to welcoming mothers and their babies into this space space.
