Semi-Private and Group classes to suit all your needs

 

Semi-private classes (2-4 students) allow for more individual attention and tailored cues, for the price of a typical drop-in class. Classes are taught in a modern private home studio space near Old Street. Regular group Pregnancy classes are also taught at Yogabase. These classes are larger than semi-privates, but still have an intimate and friendly atmosphere.

YOGA BASICS

Yoga Basics moves at a slower pace to break down classic yoga postures and focus on aligning the body, breath, and mind. But, don’t let the “basics” fool you! Come prepared to sweat as we open up and work different areas of the body. No prior yoga experience necessary.

 

What you can expect:

  • slower paced 75 minute vinyasa class flowing through classic yoga postures
  • semi-private (3-6 students) environment lending to more personalised modifications and variations
  • a physical practice that will cultivate strength, flexibility, balance, and increased awareness
  • breathing practices for efficient movement and deep relaxation

OPEN TO ALL: WEEKEND WARRIOR

Come strike your best warrior pose! Each week will feature a new theme with original and creative sequencing focused on opening and bringing awareness to specific areas of the body to develop overall flexibility, strength, and balance. There will be options for beginners as well as more experienced practitioners.

 

What you can expect:

  • open level 75 minute vinyasa flow class
  • a fresh and newly inspired practice each week
  • a physical practice that will cultivate strength, flexibility, balance, and increased awareness
  • tailored options to dial the practice up or down
  • pranayama (breath practice) for efficient movements and deep relaxation

PREGNANCY YOGA

A complete practice for expecting mothers to build strength and suppleness of the body and mind, but with respect for the little passengers they carry on board.

 
This class focuses on asana (postures) and pranayama (breath work) that help alleviate common ailments such as lower back pain, pelvic girdle pain, sciatica, shortness of breath, and more. These practices also prepare the mind and body for birthing. Women will find that they have an abundance of movements, positions, and breathing techniques to draw upon when the time comes for their own unique birthing experience. During this period of constant change, the yoga mat is a place to feel grounded, rejuvenated, strong, and inspired.

POSTNATAL RECOVERY YOGA

A rejuvenating practice focused on healing the mother’s body by safely rebuilding the pelvic floor and abdominal muscles, realigning the spine, and developing stamina and strength. Plus, meet new mums and babies!

 

Suitable for new mothers following their 6 week check to when baby is actively crawling.
